Biological Station LA SELVA
The Selva Biological Station covers an area of 1,531 ha, of which 1,492 ha correspond to the very humid tropical forest with an average rainfall of over 4,000 mm per year. It is owned by the Association Organization for Tropical Studies Incorporated, a non-profit association dedicated to research, conservation, and education.

This farm borders the Braulio Carrillo National Park and operates as a biological corridor that connects the highlands near the Barva Volcano with the lowland forests of the North Atlantic zone of Costa Rica.
